This steam train connects La Tremblade to Saujon along the estuary of the Seudre, the smallest river in France. You board the boat for a 21 kilometer ride. Breathe in the fresh sea air. Admire throughout the trip the Charente landscapes: the salt marshes, the local fauna and flora and the oyster farming villages.
The “old lady” who walks you is anold steam locomotive, classified as a historical monument, in operation since 1891.
